I thought I would start out with just a few housekeeping items…

My name is Shelly Hines and I am a freelance writer and the owner of All the Write Words in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. I have been writing for twenty years, offering my services to small start-up and mid-sized businesses as well as non-profit organizations. My experience in copywriting includes brochures, newsletters, grant and business proposals, annual reports, flyers, ads, websites, and scripts. I also have experience working at a daily newspaper editing and proofreading display advertisements and real estate articles.

Using my experience in grant writing, I have also written “The Free Money Myth: The Truth About Getting Grants and How to Better Your Chances of Receiving One,” an e-book available at www.freemoneymyth.com/ppcb.htm.

So, what’s this blog about? I started this blog to provide informative articles to business owners doing their own copywriting and marketing; business owners looking for information on hiring a freelance writer; and other writers interested in this form of writing. I hope you find it useful!

With the nature of my writing business, I do work on deadline; however, I will still attempt to post on this blog at least once a week, so please check back often. I welcome comments, requests for topics, and other insights if you wish to share!
